John Trumbulls's painting features the committee that drafted the U.S. Constitution — John Adams, Roger Sherman, Thomas Jefferson (presenting the document), and Benjamin Franklin — standing before John Hancock, the President of the Continental Congress. Also included: portraits of 42 of the 56 signers and 5 other patriots.

We are currently developing a wide range of programs and
projects to to further the goals of the foundation. Among them:

Constitution & Declaration of Independence project - in conjunction with The Miami Herald and various private groups, HCF will distribute pocket copies of the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence in English and Spanish.

Civica Americana Radio show and Public Service Announcements (PSAs) - working with Univision Radio and other Spanish-language media
to create a regular radio show and PSAs to promote American civics.

Proyecto Americano - working with other civic groups and the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) to help prepare Hispanics to become US citizens.

Civica Americana (Cuba) - working in coordination with various private groups to disseminate in Cuba informational materials on US founding principles and constitutional, free market system.

Luis C. Crespo Civics Award - A $1,000 annual award for a promising foreign-born Hispanic high school student demonstrating outstanding patriotism, civic participation and academic achievement.

● New Hispanic Immigrant Success Stories - working with you to compile a list of new Hispanic immigrant success stories. Every month we will highlight a story in the Civica Americana Newsletter and on the HCF website. Let us know your story!
